PPB Sees Uptick in Shootings in the Past Ten Days-Seeks Public Help (Photo)

The number of shooting incidents in Portland has increased in the last ten days and the Portland Police Bureau is asking the public for assistance. Gun violence remains a significant problem in Portland neighborhoods, touching virtually every corner of the city.

According to the Gun Violence Reduction Team, Portland averages about one shooting per day generally. Over the ten day period of March 31, 2020 through April 9, 2020 there were 17 shooting incidents. Here is a list of locations and details:

March 31, 2020 12:56 a.m. Northeast 60 Avenue at Northeast Colombia Boulevard (Non-life-threatening injury and vehicle struck) #20-120

April 1, 2020 1:57 p.m. Southeast 119 Avenue at Southeast Ash Street (vehicle struck no known injuries) #20-121
