Regulation of Lobbying Entities and Political Consultant Reporting Programs

*Update on Proposed Rulemaking*

After reviewing public comment, the office has further revised and offered clarification to proposed rule changes to the City's lobbying regulations. The rules can be viewed here and additional comment and feedback can be submitted until November 18, 2019.

A summary of all public comments received, as well as responses to the comments are also available.

The City's Lobbying Regulations and the Political Consulting Reporting program serve to improve transparency and inform the public of efforts to influence City Officials. Both programs are disclosure based, with information provided by City officials, lobbying entities, and certain political consultants.

If you are a required filer, you can access forms, the online portal, and training materials on this website. Members of the public can find information about both programs, including all disclosure reports, frequently asked questions, administrative rules, and City Code Chapters 2.12 and 2.14. As of December 2017, all filings and reports are conducted through the Auditor's Office online filing portal.

To make an anonymous report about suspected fraud or possible violations of City Code, including violations of the City's Lobbying or Political Consultant Reporting programs, please contact the Auditor's Fraud Hotline.
