Are you wondering if your project has made it to the last stage of the permit review process so that you can pay fees, have the permit issued, and begin construction? Now, instead of calling us or visiting the DSC, you can access the list of pre-issuance processing order online.
More about the pre-issuance process
Pre-issuance is the last step in the review process before BDS notifies the project applicant to let them know the permit is ready to be paid for and picked up. During pre-issuance, staff reviews all four plan sets to determine what changes were made during the review process and ensure that:
Pre-issuance is completed chronologically based on the sign-off date of the last technical review. Some factors can delay this process, including number of changes to the plan, complexity of the project and the communication of the changes made to the plan.
What you can do to ensure a smoother process
To ensure that BDS staff can complete a full review of your permit, please assist us to make sure your plans are complete. Review your plans to determine that all changes have been approved by City staff, that all redlines have been legibly transferred to the other plan sets, and that all sheets are complete and in order. With your help, your project can move quickly and efficiently through the pre-issuance process.
