Customer Service Hours and Financial Assistance Information

Out of concern for our customers and staff, the Portland Water Bureau will be closed to walk-in customers starting Monday, March 16 at our Interstate location at 664 N. Tillamook St. You can reach us at 503-823-7770 from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or email PWBCustomerService@portlandoregon.gov. You can leave a check or money order in our after-hours drop box at the Interstate location.

If your water service was disconnected for non-payment and you are calling to request your water service be restored, please call during business hours. If you wish to have your service restored after hours for a fee of up to $250, please call 503-823-4874. You can avoid the fee by placing your request during business hours. To report after-hours water emergencies, please call 503-823-4874, 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

The Portland Water Bureau is monitoring the real effects of COVID-19 on our customers. We announced last week:

We will not disconnect service of Bureau of Environmental Services and Water Bureau customers for nonpayment.

  • Customers will continue to be responsible for sewer/stormwater/water charges due now and accrued during this time.

The Bureau of Environmental Services and the Water Bureau offer financial assistance in the form of:

  • Payment arrangements
  • Bill discounts for sewer and water charges
  • Crisis vouchers
  • The Utility Safety Net program
