Central City Plans

CC2035: SE Quadrant Plan, current

UDS staffs the SE Quadrant Planning process by helping to develop plans for the Central Eastside area of the Central City. UDS has assisted in the creation of concepts, maps, graphics and a charrette.

CC2035: West Quadrant, current

The West Quadrant Plan updates goals, policies and actions for 7 Central City districts. UDS staff developed numerous urban design principles, concept diagrams, district maps, and new design ideas for the riverfront and open spaces.

Inner SE Station Areas Concept Plan, 2013

This planning effort focused on ways to enhance the close-in southeast station areas on the new Portland-Milwaukie light rail alignment. UDS was involved in design charrettes and producing concepts to inform the next phases of the project.

Central Reach, 2013-current

Part of the Central City 2035 planning process, UDS staff helped facilitate the Central Reach workshop and produced a Central Reach Urban Design Concept. Refinement of this concept will be an outcome of the Central Reach Working Group.

CC2035: N/NE Quadrant Plan, 2012

Part of the Central City 2035 quadrant planning process, UDS staff conceived and refined numerous urban design concept diagrams, district maps, site development schemes and new design ideas for open spaces and connectivity in the N/NE Quadrant

Rose Quarter Redevelopment Study, 2009

UDS staff hosted and facilitated a charrette that explored the redevelopment of the Rose Quarter in the Lloyd District. UDS staff prepared base maps, graphics, documents and helped develop the charrette’s resulting maps and graphics.

UDS staff participated in district walks in two parts of the N/NE Quadrant study area. UDS staff prepared walk summary documents that included maps, diagrams, precedent ideas and narrative components.
