The Planning and Sustainability Commission will hear proposed amendments to Title 11, Trees, regarding tree preservation in development situations on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. The Planning and Sustainability Commission meeting begins at 12:30 p.m., 1900 SW 4th Avenue, Room 2500a. Please call 503-823-7700 a week before the hearing for the scheduled time of this specific agenda item.
Due to recent public concern about large trees being removed in development situations in Portland neighborhoods, amendments to Title 11, Trees, are proposed to strengthen regulations pertaining to tree preservation, especially preservation of large sized trees, in development situations. The proposed amendments aim to:

Note: The proposals are subject to change prior to the Planning and Sustainability Commission Hearing. Updated proposals will be posted if/when they become available.
Testimony on the proposal can be made in person at the hearing or submitted in writing.
