UDS staff helped to develop a street improvement plan for West Burnside. Staff produced concepts for traffic testing and analysis, developed analysis maps and graphics, and helped to develop and refine design alternatives at intersections.
UDS helped develop a corridor-wide urban design concept, district diagrams, and a new set of design character statements for incorporation in the Community Design Guidelines document.
This report discusses how urban form, quality, and identity can and should develop in the Central City. It provides a set of qualitative and quantitative references for Design Central City and future urban design work for the Central City 2035 Plan.
UDS worked with BPS, Bureau of Transportation and TriMet staff to examine conditions along SW 5th and 6th Avenues to propose a new urban design vision of “urban rooms.” The analysis made recommendations for redevelopment projects at the station areas.
